A cold autumn sunrise, with mist rising and the sun low. It was stunning.

From the country park car park you climb up through the park and out into the countryside, with fantastic views of Mow Cop and Congleton Edge. The route loops round over the fields and comes back into the park for a lap of the pool near the top.

The National Trust gardens at Biddulph Grange are next door if you want to make a day of it.
