Chester Greenway and River Dee Loop
A big summer evening loop from Guilden Sutton along the old railway greenway into Wales, back along the Dee and through the heart of Chester.

From the Bird in Hand at Guilden Sutton you pick up the Chester Millennium Greenway, an old railway line, and follow it past Chester and over the border into Wales at Deeside. Then it's back along the River Dee into Chester, through the city on a beautiful June evening, and home on the Scarlet Route and the Greenway.
It's 21 miles as I did it, but there are lots of options. Transport round Chester is good, so you can make all sorts of shorter loops or one way routes.
