Just outside Knutsford, Mobberley is a pretty village with two good pubs at the start, the Bulls Head and the Roebuck.
From Mill Lane you run across the fields in a loop round to Pavement Lane and back. There's a path from Pavement Lane into Knutsford, so you could start in Knutsford and do the Mobberley loop, adding about three miles.
