Between Northwich and Winsford, Whitegate sits in lovely countryside, and this route joins familiar paths, the Whitegate Way and the Weaver Way, with some new ones to make a circular.

It's a great mix of lanes and footpaths with streams, fields and woods, including Bogart Brook. Then you follow the disused railway of the Whitegate Way to Catsclough crossing and drop down to the River Weaver past Vale Royal before heading back.
