Malkins Bank Circular Walk/ Run Route
South Cheshire Way, Alsager & Salt Line on a Snowy Day

Super snow! I love running in the snow. Todays run starts and ends in Malkins Bank in Sandbach its a beautiful 7.5 mile route that takes us over the fields skirting the edge of Alsager and back via the Salt Line.

The Route

Starting from Betchton Road in Malkins Bank near the Golf Club, we cross the canal bridge and then head over Malkins Bank Golf Course, past Jubilee villas and down mill lane, picking up a section of the South Cheshire Way. Heading through Oakhanger Moss through to Nursery Road at Alsager then taking the path behind what was the old MMU campus then down to Borrow Pit Meadow and onto the Salt Line. At the end of the Salt Line path we pick up the path onto the canal which brings us full circle back to Malkins Bank.

Parking

I parked on the Betchton Road near the golf club. Alternative parking is available at the Salt Line, and of course Alsager residents could join the route at Alsager.
