Run/Walk Brereton, Cheshire

This week on Run Adventurer we are in lockdown so I haven’t travelled far from my home town of Sandbach for my run.

The Route

The 3.8 mile route starts from the Bears Head Pub on Newcastle Road South, Brereton just outside Sandbach in Cheshire. We head through parkland adjacent to Brereton hall, past St Oswalds Church which brings you out by Brereton Heath Country Park, doing a lap of the park before returning the same way.

Brereton Heath Country Park

The country park is a circular walk around a lake formed from sand quarrying with woodland to explore and some expanses of grass to exercise your dogs. There is a small visitors centre, toilets and picnic tables; in the summer there is often an ice cream van too.

Parking

Newcastle Road South, Brereton, Cheshire

Parking is based on parking on the road on Newcastle Road South, Brereton though there is also a car park at the Bears Head Pub.
