The Devil's Gorge, Loggerheads Country Park, Mold, North Wales

Beautiful place, I can heartily recommend a visit. Todays route is 4.3 miles though you could have made either a shorter or longer route. From the free roadside parking spot head up the clifftop path for views of moel famau, then down to the river at the bottom of the gorge and following the path to the devils gorge. There are some limestone caves along the way. Eventually you reach a bridge over the devils gorge, wow. I took the path down to the cave itself it’s easy to see why folk might think this was the entrance to the underworld. Next I looped around then dropped down to the river again and followed it through the country park to the tearooms. Finally I had a 1/4 mile walk up the road back to the car. Pay a visit, it’s good.
