Walk/Run Barthomley - 3.5 Mile Circular Pub Walk in South Cheshire

Today’s run was the best kind, it started and ended at a pub. We’re in Barthomley a small village between Alsager and Crewe in South Cheshire for a gorgeous 3.5 mile pub walk / 5k running route. The village has a lovely old fashioned feel I’m guessing because much of the surrounding land is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster.

The Route

The route is on country lanes and good track so its ideal for a winter walk. Starting at the White Lion Inn at Barthomley we head down Rushy lane then turn left into Deans Lane, then take a right down the track that leads to  Mill Dale and back to Barthomley road where we turn right and head back to the White Lion where you can enjoy well earned refreshment.

Parking

White Lion Inn, Barthomley

The pub has a small car park. There is also some parking on the road outside and there is a church car park just around the corner.
