Why do I run? Here for what they’re worth are my thoughts on the benefits and key things I get out of recreational fun running. It’s good to remind yourself why you’re out there doing it.

I’m a 50 year old recreational runner who’s been running for 30 years. I’m not a fast runner and never will be so why do I do it?

Key things to take away

Running is good for your health, whatever level you are at don’t beat yourself up about it, enjoy where you are. If you are starting out or not improving because you are pushing too hard consider MAF training or at the very least make sure you follow the 80:20 rule.
