Coastal Micro Adventure - Running Mostyn to Flint, Flintshire, North Wales

Really felt good to be able to get out and run a sensible distance again. We’re in Flintshire North Wales today starting from the Duke of Lancaster Ship at Mostyn. The highlight of this for me was the stunning views across to the Wirral all along our route today. I’m really enjoying the coastal adventure, little by little as a series of tiny adventures making our way all the way around the UK coastline.

The Route

Starting at Abakhan head out to the fun ship and enjoy the view

Now follow the Wales Coast path along the shoreline of the Dee Estuary

Next stop os Greenfield Dock dating from the 17th century it was once one of the busiest ports on the Dee

Continue to follow the coastal path

Eventually you will reach the site of Bettisfield Colliery

Head up the rise for a fantastic view out towards Park Gate on the Wirral

Continue a little further and you will reach Bagillt. Continue along the shore from here until you reach Flint Dock with views across to Neston and Burton Point and on to the steel works at Deeside

The path will bring you out opposite Sainsbury’s in Flint where you can hop on the number 18 bus back to Mostyn.

Parking

Park at Abakhan

I parked at Abakhan by the fun ship
