Exploring Marston to Anderton Boat Lift, Northwich, Cheshire

Continuing on from last week we run the 4.6 mile section of the Trent and Mersey Canal from Marston to Anderton Boat Lift. Our route starts and ends at Neumann’s Flash, we join the canal near the Lion Salt Works and follow it passing Marbury Country Park and on to the boat lift with views across to the old Brunner Mond Chemical works and then back beside the weaver and through the park and flash to the starting point. It’s a beautiful spot, well worth a visit.
