Mouldsworth & Ashton - 5.75 mile Walk/ Run Includes the Goshawk Pub

Today we have a lovely route using country lane and paths including short sections of the Baker Way and the Eddisbury Way from Brine’s Brow near Delamere Forest out to Mouldsworth and then looping back through Ashton.

The route goes right past the Goshawk pub at Mouldsworth, just saying.. beautiful pub.. great food and beer..

The Route

Starting from Brine’s Brow, head up the path then turn right and cross the road onto Old Lane following the Baker Way marker, continuing left into Granger Road which we follow through to Church Road between Ashton Hayes and Mouldsworth. Turn right and head up the bank to Mouldsworth passing the Goshawk pub on your left and then take the footpath on the left to Smithy lane. Follow the road which becomes Gongar Lane into Ashton, at the end of the road cross Church Road into Pentre Lane then turn left into Duck Lane which becomes Shay lane. Shay lane becomes a track which we follow up to Longley Lane near Kelsall. Turn left and then take the path on your left for a section of the Eddisbury Way which comes out at Brines Brow. Retrace your step through Brine Brow to our starting point.
