Follow along as I run the Sandbach 10K. Why not give Sandbach 10K a go next year? 10km (6.2 miles) is a good distance, if you are new to running or a casual runner six miles is a challenge and for the regular runners it makes sense to put a 10K in your diary it makes you out some tempo and interval workouts into your training plan and running at your threshold pace, whatever that may be.
From Sandbach rugby club we head out between the rugby pitches and left to Bradwall Road where we turn right. We follow the road to Pillar Box Lane where we turn right following the road around to the left onto Ward’s Lane and over the M6 and down the far side and then double back. At Walnut Tree Lane turn right and follow it to the end were we turn right onto Bradwall Road then left into Wood Lane at Hollinsgreen. Follow the road which becomes Cooksmere Lane then at the end of the road turn left on Sweettooth Lane and immediately left back into Bradwall Road and right into the rugby club.
Why not combine the race with a visit to Sandbach and start and end with a warm up / cooldown from the town?
Parking for the event is available at the rugby club
Why not pay a visit to the local Wetherspoons after the race?
