Today we have another of ‘localish route’, I’ve made the short hop to the edge of Sandbach and parked on Clay Lane at Elton Flashes and headed across the fields to Warmingham via Coppenhall Moss passing St Leonard’s Church and the Bears Paw Pub and then back. Its a beautiful route in the heart of the Cheshire Countryside, well worth a visit.
Starting from Elton Flashes on Clay Lane I turn left and then take the path on the right over the fields which comes out at Groby road at Coppenhall Moss where we turn right and then right into Warmingham road. We then take a left into Dury lane and take the footpath on the right which comes out by The River Wheelock and St Leonard’s Church Warmingham. We turn left passing The Bear’s Paw pub up the hill then turn right on the footpath to Crabmill Lane. At the lane we turn right and follow it back, crossing Hall Lane back into Clay Lane at Elton Flashes Nature reserve.
