The Whitegate Way | 13.7 Mile Run Winsford | Cuddington | Hartford | River Weaver

Beautiful Route today, starting from Weaver Parkway near Winsford we run the full length of the Whitegate Way to Cuddington then head across the fields to Hartford and Greenbank in Northwich dropping down to Marshall’s Arm Nature reserve on the river Weaver and follow the river back to Winsford crossing the river at Vale Royal Locks.

The Route

Starting from Weaver Parkway turn left into Bradford Road towards Winsford. Opposite the salt mine turn right onto the Whitegate Way. Follow the Whitegate Way at the far end take the path on the right which comes out in Cuddington. Cross the Forest road and head down Ash Road into Cuddington. At the end of the road by the shops turn right into Mere Lane and at the end of Mere Lane turn left into Weaverham Road. Cross Norley Road and the School on your left then take the path on your right. Follow this straight on at Littledales Lane cross the road and take the path straight on over the fields until you reach the far side, turn right into Eaton Place and then left into Chester Road at Hartford. Follow the road through Hartford to Greenbank. Just before Greenbank Station turn right into Greenbank lane which we follow to the end and then straight on down the path which leads to Marshall’s Arm Nature Reserve and the river Weaver where we turn right. Follow the weaver on the right hand side, at the Blue Bridge go under the bridge then right through the fishing car park and then left on the track to Vale Royal Abbey. Just before we reach the Abbey turn left over Vale Royal locks and then right down the left hand side of the River Weaver on the Weaver Way back to Weaver Parkway.
