Wales Trip - Caernarfon Castle & Mynydd Mawr & 3 Wetherspoons (Behind the scenes for Patreon Subscribers)

Something a bit different today, just for you guys a look behind the scenes at my trip to Wales last week. The plan was to take a mini break for my birthday with Mrs Run Adventurer, staying near the tip of the Llyn Peninsula at Aberdaron and while I was there to film another leg of the coastal adventure.

On the way out we stopped in Caernarfon, I always do that but before I visited with run adventurer I’d always just stopped at Morrisons and stocked up on supplies and never explored the town. Knowing now how beautiful it is we had a walk around the old town and along the harbour front and then headed to the castle, it was about £11 to get in and I’d assumed it would take an hour or so to look around it, how wrong I was.. It’s huge and you can go up all the different towers for some great views. There is also the military museum, we just skimmed this but even that took an hour or so, if you are interested you should plan about 4 hours for just the museum. And so after four hours we headed to Wetherspoons for a hot drink and then continued our journey arriving as it was just starting to go dark. We took in the view from Mynydd Mawr (Big Mountain) before heading to our Airbnb. The following day I ran the coastal path from Whistling Sands to Aberdaron (separate video coming soon..) and then after a shower and some food we had a walk at Hells Mouth before heading to Wetherspoons #2 in Pwllheli. On our last day it was pretty wet so we headed to llandudno and mad for Wetherspoons #3 which is a good one as it’s in an old theatre, then we had a walk along the prom. What a great break, hope it gives you some ideas for a visit of your own.
