Sorry back to walking I’m afraid and as I type this the chest pain has got worse so I’m not sure I’m even going to be able to manage that for a while. I’m seeing the cardiologist next week so hopefully they can fix me (again) and I can get my life back, I do have enough content from the Scotland trip for probably 5 videos, fingers crossed I’m fixed by the time they’re all sorted.
Anyway back to todays video, if you’ve not been you definitely should. Take the Buxton road from Congleton and about 6 miles from Buxton take the road left marked for Wildboarsclough then take a right and then left into the Clough House Car Park which stands at the foot of Shutlingsloe (we’ve run past it before). From here head up the hill taking the path marked for the Cat & Fiddle Inn beside Cumberland Brook. At the waterfall turn right and follow the path to the A54 where we cross and take a muddy path down into the valley beside the river Dane which we follow to Three Shires Head. From here we continue along the path we came in on to Cut-Thorn and recross the A54, keep Shutlingsloe straight ahead of you and you will reach the road we came in on which you can follow back to the car park. The route was about 4.5 miles so just a nice stretch of the legs. It is muddy in places so make sure you have proper boots or trail shoes on and watch your footing.
