Sit back a relax and join me on a trip around the southern part of the lake at Windermere in the Lake District. Starting near Bowness we head south to Newby Bridge and then follow the lanes from the Swan Hotel passing the aquarium at Lakeside and on past Bobbin Mill then down to Cunsey and catching the Ferry back to Bowness. For the walkers, I would suggest parking at Bowness and then getting a bus to Newby Bridge and then exploring the paths beside the lake heading north and either getting the ferry back as I did or the bus from Ambleside. For the runners, don’t think that because we’re by a lake the route is flat, it’s not , there’s lots of undulation, not a problem but you should be aware of this going into it
